Special Delivery

Today we will read the story of a North Korea woman who is skilled in driving and works as a delivery driver in South Korea for a company that is willing to deliver anything as long as the price is right. This film is the South Korean action crime film in 2022 titled “SPECIAL DELIVERY” directed by Dae-min Park with a duration of 1 hour and 49 minutes starring Park So-dam (Eun-ha), Song Sae-byeok (Jo Kyung-Pil) and Kim Eui-sung (Baek Kang-Cheol).

The story begins with Jang Eun-Ha fleeing North Korea to find a good life in South Korea with the help of Beak Kang-Cheol owner of Baiqiang Industry a car manufacturing company an operation called SPECIAL DELIVERY service is they work undercover where they are delivered indiscriminately even if it is criminal as long as it is in the right amount.

Eun-ha is one of the companies special delivery drivers where she is close to Kang-Cheol and considers him no different from her. He gives Eun-ha another client to deliver to the port but it’s late and Eun-ha asks for extra payment for overtime pay and Kang-Cheol couldn’t do anything but give in.

Eun-ha immediately went to the said client outside a hotel where they would meet. When they saw her car she didn’t open the door first to male sure they were the ones she was going to pick up , when it was confirmed she opened it but they were surprised to see a woman driving the car so they hesitated to get in.

Eun-ha started the car so they were forced to get in with her and the pursuers might catch up with them. Eun-ha also noticed that there was a car behind them so she made them wear seat belts but they just refused thinking that Eun-ha was just a simple driver.

Eun-ha immediately started the car which surprised them because their female driver drove so fast that they immediately put on their seat belts and Eun-ha race with those who wanted to pursue her client. They did not stop them from chasing. In order to escape those chasing them Eun-ha chased the train then crossed to the other side to completely escape those chasing them.

When they arrive at the port Eun-ha’s client is so impressed with her driving skills that he even gives her a tip and offers his to work for him. Eun-ha rejects the man and takes his payment. When Eun-ha comes home she asks the boss to increase her driving salary but Kang-Cheol doesn’t want to agree because of the other fees but he can’t refuse.

Kim Du-sik pn the other hand is a former baseball player who was involve in illegal trade with an online sports gang after his group was caught planning to run away with his son. Kim Seo-won he made a passport with a different identity so that he and his son could leave the country by ship.

So that their escape wouldn’t go wrong the man who made the fake passport offered him a ride that was sure to get them to the port on time. Jo Kyung-Pil is a corrupt police officer who is the mastermind behind the gambling that Du-sik is involved in. Kyung-Pil found out that Du-sik ran away from their bank security pub with gambling containing 3 million dollars. He tried to called Du-sik with the son holding the cellphone but he didn’t want to answer it Du-sik almost crashed so he didn’t his son deliberately answered Kyung-Pil looking for the bank security pub.

In the next scene Eun-ha lives with her pet cat named chubby, She left early to work as a clerk at Baiqiang Industry and Asif was his wok colleague as one of their mechanics. Later Kang-Cheol gave Eun-ha another job but when he found put who the job was from she would have preferred it but Kang-Cheol was forced to do the job because they would be paid a lot.

Eun-ha said that she would only agree if they half the income. Kang-Cheol did nothing but agree and immediately planned the route to take and the necessities for such a special delivery where Eun-ha immediately left because it was far from Busan. Meanwhile while Du-sik was waiting for a pick-up he thought that the pick-up had arrived so he rushed out when he saw Kyung-Pil’s group coming he immediately went inside and gave his son the security pub because he intended to confront Kyung-Pil for the child to escape.

He told his son to find the pick-up outside he also gave him his cellphone connected to his smart watch so he could contact him and then he let his son pass through the back window and then faced Kyung-Pil’s group but Kyung-Pil’s men caught him easily and tried to take back the security pub but Du-sik was stubborn so Kyung-Pil beat him causing him to lose consciousness.

Meanwhile, Eun-ha is impatient waiting for the exit. Kyung-Pil finds out that Du-sik is with the child and he suspects that the security pub is with the child so he immediately asks the staff to find him. Seo-won later sees the car that will pick them up and asks for help but Eun-ha won’t open it because it’s different in the photo. The men came chasing the boy so he was forced to open the door and immediately run away. The men tried to stop it until Eun-ha got away completely , where a car blocked their path in the distance.

Du-sik woke up from his sleep and beat his guard who also immediately looked for the son while Eun-ha was planning to face the car blocking them where it was Kyung-Pil who was also planning to hit them. Du-sik stopped Kyung-Pil but at the cost of his life Eun-ha escaped the criminals with the child and Kyung-Pil called an assassin to hunt them down.

When Eun-ha went away she intended to leave the child to avoid the trouble but the child followed her she told the child not to follow her but Seo-won had nowhere to go so he begged Eun-ha to help him because he had money to pay her.

Eun-ha called Kang-Cheol first to let him know that the operation went awry because only Du-sik’s son was with her and he had money with him. She asks the boy if he has any relatives to go to. Seo-won replies that he has no other relatives or friends so Eun-ha asks Kang-Cheol to take the boy.

Later, she took the child to a male contact Kang-Cheol where the work was also illegal. After the child was taken she immediately left and called Kang-Cheol again but when she counted the money she had taken from the child it suddenly fell while Eun-ha was picking it up the money she felt worried about the boy so she hurriedly went back to the man to get the boy back. She caught up with Seo-won inside the bathroom trying to escape from the man. Meanwhile Kyung-Pil returns to the precinct to use his police status as a captain to find Du-sik’s son. When they saw it on CCTV he told his police colleagues that the driver of the car killed Du-sik and abducted the child. He immediately asked the police to find them.

Eun-ha went to the hotel with the boy to rest. She left the boy for a while to buy what they needed. Kyung-Pil also found the person who made Du-sik’s fake passport. He confesses to the man from whom he learned about the special deliver service that helped the boy escaped.

When he got information he immediately checked the CCTV to find the said special delivery. After shopping Eun-ha steals a car to use back to the hotel where she finds Seo-won watching the news that her father is dead so Eun-ha has a problem how to stop to child from crying.

Kyung-Pil’s staff also arrived at the hotel when they found out that they were hiding there. They heard crying in the room that Eun-ha took but they didn’t see them there because she was only connected to the phone. They had no idea that she was there, they are looking for hiding n another room. In order not to get cause in case someone comes but when when Eun-ha runs away pretending to be cleaner Kyung-Pil notices it.

The two face each other in the elevator until Eun-ha grabs his gun and immediately runs away. When they were a far away Eun-ha looked for the boy to find out why they were chasing them,Seo-won gives the security pub and Eun-ha steals a car again to avoid being followed.

Meanwhile Kyung-Pil found ouut about Eun-ha’s true identity and someone from the National Intelligence Service came looking for Eun-ha as a fugitive from North Korea. They cooperated with the police for the investigation when Eun-ha was probably suspected by abducting a child but it was against Kyung-Pil’s heart because of his own interest to take back the security pub.

in the car Eun-ha learns from the boy that his mother is still alive and Seo-won asks her to find the mother using the father’s cellphone number. They immediately went to the club where she works to find out if this is really her real mother Kyung-Pil also finds out where Eun-ha is so he immediately sends the staff to the place.

Eun-ha talks to the woman and she denies that Seo-won is her son because she feel sorry for the mess that Du-sik left behind. Eun-ha immediately leaves to get the child back in the car suddenly Seo-won gets scared so it ran out.

She tells Seo-won that this is not his real mother but Seo-won doesn’t believe him so Seo-won tries to call what he thinks is his mother but Eun-ha stopped it and broke his cellphone. Eun-ha tells the boy that she is not his mother because she does not want to his mother.

Suddenly Kyung-Pils men arrived and they kidnapped Seo-won. Eun-ha fought the assassin sent by Kyung-Pil where she managed to escape and tried to chase Se-won. Using her jacket she made a fire to activate the automatic sprinklers throughout the building because the vehicle carrying the child has skidded there.

Eun-ha immediately takes the car to escape where the assassin chases them until Eun-ha falls down the assassin causing his death but Eun-ha suffered many injuries to save Seo-won causing her to lose consciousness. Seo-won also immediately asked for the help from passing cars where someone helped him.

The next day when Eun-ha wakes up in the car she calls Kang-Cheol to ask for help. This makes him angry but Kang-Cheol can’t stand Eun-ha so he decides to end the delivery. He intends to send the child to another country so that those who pursue them will not chase him.

Eun-ha takes Seo-won’s photo to make in into Kang-Cheol’s passport and they immediately travel back to Busan. Meanwhile Kyung-Pil found out that Baiqiang Industry in Busan operates a special delivery where they are on their way to find the boy to get the security pub.

Eun-ha arrives in Busan with the child and the boss happily greets her upon her return. They took care of the child’s passport immediately after it was sent to another country by ship where Asif’s family would take care of it. Eun-ha felt sad watching Seo-won and she gave also Kang-Cheol the security pub the boy was holding to find out what it contained.

Kyung-Pil arrives in Busan where his paid men are waiting for him to help him find Eun-ha and the child. At that time Eun-ha happily took Seo-won for a walk. Meanwhile during the investigation by the police and NIS Du-sik’s smart watc was found. They found out that Kyung-Pil was the mastermind behind everything and immediately went to Busan to follow the police captain.

At night while Eun-ha was fixing the ship to take Seo-won in the port, Kyung-Pil’s group entered the Baiqiang industry where Lang-Cheol was and they tortured Kang-Cheol to point out where the boy was but he was stubborn.

Kang-Cheol secretly turned on the radio to warning Asif and to escape the boy but he just hid the boy and tried to fight them. Kyung-Pil’s men also catch it because they don’t want to say where is the boy is. Kyung-Pil plans to torture Asif. Kang-Cheol stops him and says whats he knows that they are looking ofr the security pub that the boy is holding that contains of a large amount of money because he had it hidden in a security box because it had a passcode Kyung-Pil made Kang-Cheol open his security box where it turned out that there was a gun hidden inside then they were shot.

Kyung-Pil shot him and killed Eun-ha when he returned to Baiqiang and heard gunshots all around. She hurried back inside to see what happened while Kyung-Pil’s men searched for the boy. It didn’t took long for them to find the child and bring it to Kyung-Pil. Eun-ha was outside and was saddened to see her boss dead because of Eun-ha’s anger at the loss of Kang-Cheol she intends to take revenge on him.

She turned off the lights in the entire building and killed Kyung-Pil’s men one by one but Eun-ha’s fight with them was not easy. Asif also had a chance to escape the boy so Seo-won immediately run away. Eun-ha is being shot by Kyung Pil so she is forced to run away with a car to find where Seowon is. When she sees the child she intends to flee the place but Kyung Pil crashes the car and he took the child.

Kyung-Pil threw the child into the sea and shot Eun-ha. Eun-ha joined him in jumping into the sea and kill Kyung-Pil. When she saved the boy Kyung-Pil handciffed her by the leg before he completely died so she couldn’t climb up. The police immediately arrived at the scene and rescued Seo-won. Seo-won begged the police to save Eun-ha but there was nothing they could do.

A few months later, Seo-won is happily living in the orphanage where he still has happy memories with Eun-ha. One day Seo-won was left behind by their school bus. A car pulled up beside him while walking. When he looked to see who it was the driver of the car was not there. When he looked back he was shocked to see Eun-ha alive and he rushed to her. It turns out that Eun-ha only faked her death so the the NIS wouldn’t chase her and she continues to work as a special delivery.
