Mr. & Mrs. Smith
We will read the story of a couple who do not know each other’s true personalities. They just discovered that they were both assassins and targets for each other. The film is the American action comedy film released in 2005 titled Mr. & Mrs. Smith directed by Doug Liman with a duration 2 hours starring Brad Pitt (John Smith), Angelina Jolie (Jane Smith) and Adam Brody (Benjamin Danz).
In Colombia where in a hotel John Smith was there for his mission the authorities were looking for the unaccompanied foreigner suspected of murder. John as noticed there alone but Jane came. In order to both survive they pretend to be husband and wife even though they don’t each other.
After that they became close to each other, After returning to New York they continued to go out together and in a short time they decided to get married. Their friends would not have agreed with their sudden marriage because they did not know each other yet but the two did not hold back.
Six years have passed as a couple, the only thing they know about each other is that John is a construction executive while Jane works as a teach support consultant. Despite being together there is a secret hidden in each of them. Jane said goodbye that something was going to be fixed in her work. John left to go the same.
So Jane went to a hotel to kill her target person. John is at the bar pretending to play with his target’s crew. When his target arrived he immediately shot him and even his staff. At the hotel Jane meets her target a fire arm thief. She immediately kills him and escapes by going through the window with her bag.
When she returned home, Her husband almost caught her in what she wearing but she managed to hide. John’s used weapon is hidden under the warehouse while Jane’s is hidden in the oven with a secret opening.
John entered the office pretending to be an engineer and received a new target named Benjamin Danz who is said to be a threat to their company who is now in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He needs to kill it before the transfer takes place near the Mexican border.
Meanwhile, Jane also entered her office pretending to be a tech consultant. It also received the same target as her husband. Jane and John are both contract killers but they work for different companies. Jane arrived at the place first and prepared an explosive to finish off the target. While she was waiting John pass by Jane noticed his car and almost detonated the bomb she planted.
When she checked it she didn’t see anything suspicious so she thought it was just a civilian but suddenly John pulled out a weapon and Jane stopped him from ruining her plans but John targeted her because Jane’s laptop was broken the bomb exploded early she placed on the road causing their target to escape.
Jane immediately ran away while John got the laptop she left behind because of what happened. Jane was given 48 hours to find and kill the person who disturbed her as it is the rules of their company that there should be witnesses left. Even John has the same rule in their company.
In order to find the person she encountered he used his recovered laptop and that’s where he found out the owner’s address. John immediately went to the said address. He was surprised to discover that his wife had an office there. Currently Jane is also finding out the identity of the man she photographed but suddenly John calls to let her know that he has returned from a business trip.
When John returned home he was already suspicious of his wife so he entered cautiously. Jane was already there waiting for him but he no longer had confidence in the event of an attempt on his life. He prepared something that could be used to confirm the identity of the wife. John put wine in Jane’s glass and deliberately dropped the bottle which she quickly caught but she also dropped the bottle.
John pretended to get a cleaner immediately but he was already holding a gun. He heard the car outside. Jane left he chased his wife outside to try to talk but he couldn’t shoot her car on purpose so Jane got angry and planned to beat her up. John tried to explain to his wife but she left her in the car with no one driving.
After what happened John went to his friend’s house because of the attempt on his life. His friend suspected from the beginning that everything was planned to finish him off. Jane didn’t even come home after finding the truth that it was her husband who fought and she had to finish. The friend asked her if she loved him but Jane denied her feelings so she advised her to kill her immediately yo get it over with.
The next day, Jane went home with her team to investigate her husband seeing that the teddy bear she had won with John had been destroyed but she stopped herself. After getting it they left immediately. John also went home and took a neighbor with him. He immediately went to his secret weapon storage but there was nothing left. Jane found out what he was hiding.
Later in the office, Jane searched for her husband’s whereabouts when they suddenly discovered that he was inside their building. The two talk on the phone and John wants Jane to disappear to pretend to be dead but she doesn’t want to agree. Jane immediately declared an evacuation to leave the area.
They destroyed all the files and escaped by crossing to the other building. John also came that he still had a change to finish his wife but the truth is that he really let her escape him. Using what John got from his wife’s office he took it to his friend’s house to look for a sign.
He got a place and immediately went to find his wife. John got into the elevator but it suddenly stopped when he got to the top. He also found out that his wife was the perpetrator and Jane gave him the option to leave the city because otherwise he would drop the elevator but John challenged her that she could not do what she was planning.
Jane didn’t gave up and counted her husband because that’s also where her team dropped the elevator. Jane was surprised when he suddenly disappeared and worried about what happened to John. It turned out that he was riding in another elevator that just used a device to make it look like he was on the other side. Despite what happened Jane couldn’t stop the feelings of losing her husband but John suddenly came alive and wanted a divorce.
The two danced while disarming each other and talked about what happened to them which was just a lie. Jane also went to the bathroom for a while but it was just alibi to escape. John called her and found out she was going home and chased after her but when he got home her wife crashed her car so Jane got in first.
Jane went through the back of the house to enter the secret way but it was closed so he just broke the window and entered slowly and then took his hidden gun. It turned out that Jane was ready and she shot at her which he was able to prevent John from retaliating and that’s when the two faced each other in an intense fight that is not normal for a couple.
Using the gas tank that John almost blew up Jane. The two faced each other in hand-to-hand combat but they realized in the end that they could not kill each other. Neighbors also suddenly rushed to worry about their noise they heard. The two proved that they are okay and just love each other.
Meanwhile, John’s friend received an announcement from their company that there was a large reward for the person who could kill the SMITH couple. Despite what happened John and Jane have come to an agreement while sharing their secrets with each other about their personalities that they just discussed.
After a while someone came to the front of the house and they were rushed by different groups of assassins for a huge layer on their head. The two immediately went to the basement to get a weapon that could be used in the fight but a robot entered and dropped an explosive on them.John kicked the bomb that went into the oil storage the two rushed out to avoid the explosion that destroyed their house and killed the enemies.
There was nothing left so they just stole a car from the neighbor but before they leave an enemy came so John bumped him and took the gun he was carrying then they run away.
When the two were away John admitted that even once he didn’t like his wife’s cooking Jane admitted that she had never cooked in her whole life and that her colleagues were responsible for everything. Suddenly someone chased them again and Jane planned to stop it but she was not good at driving naughty cars so she traded because she was good at driving.
John tried to shoot the enemy’s car but it was wrapped in bullet proof. Jane intentionally braked so they could closed to them and John also managed to blow up the enemy’s car. The remaining assassins continue to chase them and fight on the road.
Jane showed her skill with the driver where she was able to upset them and proceed to escape. The John met his friend with his wife which surprised him but he had no intention of getting involved in catching the two because they were friends with John.
The friend advises him that he and his wife need to separate in order to survive. Unless he can give something that is still important to them like their last target. Jane immediately asked her friend to find the whereabouts of Benjamin Danz who was found to be still being held by the FBI with strict security.
The couple worked together to capture the target. Jane monitors the movement around. The two did not get along very well because Jane was forcing John to go down the wrong road while he was looking for ways to make John act outside of the plan.
He confronted the guards in the basement even though the plan agreed upon by the couple didn’t work well but John successfully got their target.
They spent the night at a motel where John told Danz the reason why both their bosses wanted to kill him. He took something from his back pocket where it turned out that they were actually target. Danz admitted that their respective companies found out that they were married.
They were both sent to the same target on purpose to finish each other off and he was the bait. When the two found out the truth John found the trucker attached to Danz oh his belt and the two immediately hid. With the arrival of the opponents who came from their same company no one caught them inside the room apart from Danz.
They still haven’t agreed on where to run away because they want to go to different places but John has no intention of running away yet, he wants to end it now and let Jane leave if she wants to. Jane also did not leave to help her husband.
They went to a building while they were still being searched. One inside the two immediately prepared to fight. The enemies now also know where they are after breaking a locked door. When the group entered the building the couple took down the enemies one by one in a quiet way so as not attract attention.
They finally came to an agreement but Jane also did not mean to hit her husband which angered to her. In the continuation John also did not intentionally make noise because the enemy knew where they were. The couple fought fiercely but they hid in the elevator.
When they went out again Jane became John’s sniper while she rushed towards the enemies but she was seen and hit when John saw it he immediately went to save his wife and hide temporarily in the storage. While the two were preparing their conditions to fight they were surrounded by enemies outside. He said that he wanted nothing more than to be with her even in this situation.
John also finally realized that he agreed with his wife’s wishes which made Jane happy. The couple faces countless opponents head-on and worked together until they’ve exhausted all of them as well.
In the end they rebuilt the damaged house and now live happily ever after keeping no secrets from each others. This is where our movie ends. I hope you like it. Thanks a lot.
