The movie we are going to feature today is about a family that is destroyed due to the greed of others that ends up taking revenge on the people responsible. Sweet girl“ directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza with a duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes starring Jason Momoa (Ray Cooper), Isabela Merced (Rachel Cooper), and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Amos Santos).
The story begins where the Cooper Family lives happily together but one day a big blow came to the family when Ray’s wife Amanda got cancer which changed their lifestyle, However the family continues to fight against the challenges they are facing.
Ray runs a gym that her daughter Rachel frequents to practice fighting and self defense. One day, the family had hope that the doctor would inform them that there was an effective generic drug that was awaiting DFA approval but as the days passed, Ray was surprised that the treatment had not yet started. He talked to the doctor about what was going on where it was discovered that he big pharmaceutical company bio prime had paid to keep the generic drug off the market.
In a TV interview, the CEO bio prime Simon Keeley confronted Congresswoman Diana Morgan and pitted them against their company’s competitors. The effect of the release of the cheap medicine. He asked him to work together to defeat his greed but a man came and killed the journalist.
Ray stopped from leaving and he as also saw the daughter there. He faced the man in the fight who was really good because he was an assassin. The daughter help him but threw her out of the train so Ray got angry and brought out his fighting skills until that he was able to bring it down.
Two years later, Rachel continues to practice mixed martial arts. She sparred in the ring with someone who almost killed her if the coach hadn’t stopped her. Meanwhile, the Congresswoman released a bill in collaboration with bio prime CEO Simon and Chairman Vinod Shah to fight cancer with cheap medicine that will come from their company.
Despite this, Ray continues to track bio prime to avenge him wife’s death. His daughter stopped her and told her to report everything to the police but Ray did not trust the police. At an event attended by Simon, Ray also went for his plan, he pretended to be a waiter to get inside and arranged things to meet the CEO in person. After Simon spoke Ray went to him and secretly poured drinks on him.
They went to another bathroom where Ray started attacking until he finally faced Simon. The CEO wonders what his fault was when Ray reminded him of what happened to his wife. Ray fought with Simon until he was able to kill the CEO. After that Ray immediately went home to pack her daughter and they had to leave. Rachel wondered what was going on but when she saw her father bleeding she knew that the father continued his revenge which was not right.
They had no choice but to leave before the police caught them. At the scene of the incident. The FBI led by Agent Sarah Meeker arrived to investigate, they didn’t get much apart from hearing from Simon’s surviving security that he had previously been threatened about a woman. The FBI discovered Ray’s Cooper’s previous threat to Simon’s life so they immediately sought him out,
Ray’s car was caught on CCTV when they passed a Toll Plaza. There was a mercenary chasing their whereabouts. When it was late night, the two went to hotel to rest. Ray let the daughter go first but Rachel secretly called the agent assigned to the case of the father’s murder to explain that the father only acted in self defense.
When she was about to end the call the agent offered her help and asked her to buy a disposable phone so that no one could call her again. At the door of the room Ray put a sign when someone comes. Rachel is still angry with him and blames his for why they ended up in a difficult situation.
Later as the night got deeper, the mercenaries came and Ray woke up immediately hearing what he put on the door and woke him up to run away. When he returned upstairs, his partner saw him and shot him. Ray hid in the cabinet then jumped out the window with the mercenary and continued to fight downstairs until he also killed him nut his daughter saw him. Despite this, the FBI was able to track down Ray’s abandoned house.
Meanwhile Amos Santos was the assassin who was sent to finish off the reporter, he was also sent again to find Ray and kill him. While the two fled Ray first put the car away from the road to communicate with the phone obtained from the killed mercenary.
Ray wanted to stop everything so they went to Shah to finish. He couldn’t stop the father and only her mother could do this. Back in the car Rachel wanted to go with her father but he didn’t want to agreed she forced him until Ray agreed to go with him. At night while they were waiting outside Shah’s house the van that the assassin was riding in also arrived there. He also arrived there he also saw Shah’s convoy leaving so it went ahead to carry out the plan.
When the convoy entered the cave Ray blocked the bridge, Shah sensed danger and immediately pulled the car back but when they got back there, Ray bumped into his security car and they tried to escaped the barrier he placed but they couldn’t get through. The assassin came there from the front of the bridge and blew up the car.
When they got away from the area they walked until they passed a truck and Ray stole it so they could have something to use. When they were about to leave, they passed the assassin’s car at a restaurant
Ray stopped him to talk because there was a policeman inside when he did something wrong. Ray thought that the assassin’s job was done after Shah’s death but he found out that he was the target and someone else sent him because of this Ray agreed to tell who ordered to kill him and when he was done what to do he can kill him.
The assassin understands that he is just avenging his wife’s death because that is where he came from. He said that Diana Morgan ordered him to be killed before they leave the assassin reminds Rachel that they will meet again. The two left immediately.
At the FBI headquarters the agents received a report that Shah was found dead neat the house. Sarah also received information about a tow truck that was stolen near the scene. Later the two returned to the city, the FBI received a call the was seen on CCTV the stolen truck in the city so it immediately sent a helicopter. Ray was soon spotted by a helicopter and followed, He tries to escape even the police until they get stuck in heavy traffic.
Ray ran towards the stadium where a game was currently talking place. FBI agents chased him there to arrest him. When Sarah followed she talked to her that she could help her through what she was going through, Ray refused because she didn’t know her but Sarah reminded her that she was the one she used to talk on the phone. It turns out that Rachel did all the murders for revenge after both parents died.
It turns out that the father was killed at the train station which caused trauma to the child who experiences dissociative identity disorder so that she often does not recognize herself. However, Rachel not give in to authority and jumps onto a rooftop with a nearby river. She was immediately captured and pun in the ambulance with the FBI agent but when she woke up she was against them and knocked the ambulance down to escape.
After that, Rachel went to the campaign of Diana Morgan who is running for senator in the upcoming election. The assassin was also there the find her there. Wen Diana returned to the office of her candidacy, Rachel followed her to observe. She waited for the night to come while remembering the happy past that was still with her father, The surroundings were quiet and Rachel was about to carry out her plan of revenge but the assassin came to finish her off but she was able to escape.
The assassin searched for her below until he disarmed him and the two met in a fierce fight where after Rachel weakened the assassin drowned her and she lost consciousness. Rachel could only hear her father’s voice forcing her to fight there when she woke up and using the knife she picked up she killed the assassin.
After this She confronted Diana Morgan to confess all the sins behind the bio prime but the Congresswoman denies it and pretends to offers her help, Rachel threatens to kill her for what she did to the mother and forces her to admit that she was bribed by the bio prime for the contract with the government and the one who ordered the killing of the reporter and the father.
Diana has admitted to everyone that she only did that for her running because the more money she wins. However, Rachel could not kill the Congresswoman so she left immediately. Everything they talked about was recorder. The FBI agents are baffled by Rachel’s returns when she has already taken revenge.
They received information that Rachel was seen in the company of Diana Morgan which made then even more surprised, At that time Rachel was preparing her fake passport and exchanged all the money for cryptocurrency.
