One Fast Move
The movie we are going to feature today is about an action adventure thrill ride about a down-on-his-lick young man looking for his estranged father to help him to pursue his dream of becoming a professional racer titled “ONE FAST MOVE” directed by Kelly Blatz with a duration of 1 hour and 48 minutes starring KJ Apa (Wes Neal), Eric Dane (Dean Miller), and Maia Reficco (Camila)
The story begins with an illegal street race, during the race the sound of approaching police sirens alerted the racers and soon the area was surrounded by police cars. Wes Neal was one of the racers trued to escape but he fell off his motorcycle leading to his quick arrest by the police.
The scene switches to Wes talking to his probation officer while he is in prison the officer says that finding a job will be difficult for Wes and suggests that construction worker maybe his only option.
However, Wes is not interested and just asks when he can get his motorcycle back. As soon as he got out he got on his motorcycle Wes arrives at a location where a race was about to start. After the race Wes approached one of the racers Dean Miller his father.
Wes tries to start a conversation with him but Dean at first doesn’t recognize Wes until he mentions his mother Laura, he realizes who was Wes. Dean tries to ignore him by saying it’s not be the best time to talk about it.
Dean suggests they head to a nearby bar to talk. Later that night Wes saw Dean at the bar as planned but Dean acted irresponsible flirting and hooking up the women right in front of Wes. This behavior frustrates Wes.
Wes eventually decides to leave, Dean follows him outside trying to calm him down but Wes isn’t interested in hearing his excuses. Wes suggest that they smoke and talk as they talk Wes reveals his true purpose in coming.
He wants to race professionally Dean is skeptical pointing out how difficult it is to get into the sport especially at Wes’ age because most racers are measured by his age. Wes angrily decides to leave but Dean offers to help by inviting Wes because of his motorcycle to the Legacy speed shop where Dean works.
He offered to give a free tune up Wes agreed to the offer. The next day Wes went to the shop he met the owner Abel and Dean introduced him. Dean tells Wes to follow behind and shows him the motorbikes. He is shown a very nice motorcycle and Wes asks if he can ride it. So the two went out to ride their motorbike.
While riding Dean notices Wes being reckless and tells him to stop. Dean angrily warns Wes that his behavior could get them both killed but Wes dismisses it suggesting that Dean is just upset about losing. Despite Wes’ attitude Dean agrees to take him to the truck but emphasizes that the truck requires a disciplinary warning that if Wes acts recklessly again their partnership will end the next morning.
Dean gives Wes a racing jacket and they go out to race. During race Wes crashes the motorcyle. Dean taunts him and tells Wes to put the motorcycle in the truck before they leave the truck. Wes asks Dean what to do with the broken motorcycle Dean says he needs money to fix the broken motorcycle. Wes says that racing is his only hope after getting out of jail.
Dean agrees to train Wes with a few conditions. He told Wes to meet him at the shop the next day ready to start The next morning Wes visits a diner where a waitress recognizes him before asking about his motorcycle. He tells her that he bumped into her and asks where she’s from when he notices she’s new in town.
Before leaving Wes takes her out for a drink, she initially declines and says she doesn’t date customers but then gives him her number. Then he promised never to eat there again. Wes heads to the shop to meet Dean who gives him a new motorcycle.
Wes promises to pay him while Dean works on the motorcycle he shares some of his background with Wes as they talk Abel arrives and informs Dean that someone is looking for him. Abel offers Wes a job which Wes gladly accepts.
Wes starts working in the shop while Abel keeps watching Wes how he deals with customers. Wes continues his training with Dean. Dean begins to teach Wes through an earpiece while they ride but Wes quickly removes it.
Despite this Dean continues to train Wes everyday and Wes continues to improve. During a practice session Sean and Wes have a conversation where Dean thinks about how much fun he had admitting that he had forgotten the joy of riding after years of competing.
Dean tells Wes that he believes he is ready for his first race and Wes agrees that he is ready for the challenge ahead. Wes meet Camila the girl from the diner for a drink, they talk about motorcycles with Camila expressing her belief that they can be dangerous. She also shared that she went to school to become a nurse.
When she suggested that they dance, Wes hesitated saying that he didn’t know how to dance but she convinced him and they ended up dancing and kissing. The next morning Wes goes to the truck for his first race while they get ready. Two racers Bobby and Cody have shown up. Dean introduced Wes as the newest Legacy rider and little laughter ensued between the racers.
Bobby and Cody representing the fierce performance mentioned their high expectations and recent equipment upgrades that set the stage for some rivalry. The race had begun where Dean has caught the attention of the audience. They cheered enthusiastically for Wes as the race progressed Wes took the lead and Camila who was also in the crowd cheered him on loudly.
After a fierce competition Wes come out the winner. Dean proudly shouts to the audience claiming Wes as his son. He received a trophy for his win. After the ceremony Camila came to congratulate him. Dean introduces himself as Wes’ trainer and father. Camila also mentions that she has night shift and Wes drives her.
Leaving the truck, he asked why Wes didn’t mention his father before. Wes just replied that it was complicated. Camila kissed him and got into her car. That night Dean and Wes go to a bar to celebrate Wes’ victory. Wes thanks Dean for everything and he simply responds by telling Wes that he couldn’t have helped if he didn’t believe in Wes talent.
They toasted their victory and as they drove ahead Dean announced to the bar telling everyone that Wes had won his first race and encouraging anyone who wanted to buy him a drink. The next morning Wes arrives late for work and smells like alcohol Abel calls him into his office and says that Wes was out celebrating after his first race. Wes apologized and promised it would never happen again. Abel fails but the realization warns Wes that Dean is not his father and he needs to stay focus on the job.
Wes mentions his problems to Abel and Dean offers Wes his r6 for the race explaining that his back is too injured to continue. He tells Wes to keep going so he can level up and get big money.
The next day Wes takes Camila to a lake where they talk, Camila thinks Dean looks cool but West explains that he just met him and is only looking for a career and not a relationship. Camila shared her own experiences with her father. Revealing how she eventually forgave her for her own peace. Wes and Camila spend the night at his place. The next morning they were surprised by a knock on the door Camila quickly told Wes to get dressed and after he did, he saw Camila with a little boy and his mother.
She introduces the boy as her son Leo after showing the motorcycle to Leo. Wes and Camila have a conversation where Wes asks why she didn’t tell him about her son. Camila admits that she’s afraid that Wes won’t accept her. Wes says that Leo seems like a sweet boy then mentions that he has to go to the truck to call him.
Wes goes to the truck to start training with his new bike but has a hard time handling it and tells Dean that he doesn’t fell comfortable with the motor. Dean reminds Wes that the new motor is a $50,000.00 race motor and expresses disbelief that it’s not it met his expectations Dean also said that Wes should practice before he switches to the new motor.
Dean emphasizes that if Wes finishes in the top three in the open super sports he will qualify for nationals which will attract more sponsors which is something Wes wants. Wes spends time with Camila and Leo where Camila reveal about Leo’s father, The next day Camila and Leo come to watch Wes race.
Before the race Dean approaches Wes and mentions that he didn’t know Camila had a child after a brief introduction Dean shifts the conversation and orders Wes to get Cody in the truck. Coday was a spoiled rider who put others at risk. Suggesting that Wes do everyone a favor by getting him out of the truck.
The race starts and Wes follows his father’s instructions to take Cody out but after the race the tension leads to a fight between Dean and Cody where Wes joins in the chaos and Camila quickly leaves the scene. Wes tries to stop her but she leaves without speaking to him.
Abel confronts Dean who accuses him of bringing shame on the shop and the sport by encouraging such bad behavior. He asks Dean to remove the Legacy name from Wes’ suit criticizing Dean for clinging to past glories and ruining his career after his injury Dean insists he doesn’t need Abel and is determined to bring Wes to the top while Abel warned that Wes might also be pulled down.
Abel leaves leaving Dean defiant and alone at the bar Dean tells Wes he’s leaving the shop and wants Wes to come with him. Wes worries about the money but Dean makes sure he has enough money to support them.
He convinces Wes to move in with him so they can train full time and get a spot on a racing team leading to a big sponsorship deal. Wes is hesitant and Dean warns him to stay focused and caution against getting too involved with Camila hinting that it could scar her future.
The next day, Wes went to the store to apologize to Abel about the fight and told him he was leaving because he had to train full time. The next morning Wes and Dean continue training but Wes is forced to get used to the new motor which makes him even more frustrated. Dean tries to calm him down by sharing his own experiences.
Later, Wes goes to Camila to make up but she expresses concerns after seeing him hit someone who says he doesn’t want his son with him. He also confronts her about not telling her he was imprisoned.
It is revealed that Dean mentioned this to him the conversation escalated into an argument and Wes accuses him of wanting a father for Leo and saying he was interfering Camila told him she left him. Wes returns to Dean’s house and asks what happened between him and his mother, Dean explains that he met Wes’ mom at church and they had a good time which is why she got pregnant.
Dean admits that he’s not happy about Wes’ mother getting pregnant and insists on leaving instead of being a father. He prioritized career over family responsibilities because of this the father and son argued. When Wes leaves Dean breaks down and cries telling him he’s scared of being a father.
That night, Wes participates in an illegal race and is arrested. Abel apologizes to him and Wes hugs Abel and cries back to Abel’s home. Abel asks Wes about Camila and Wes admits that their relationship has not been good. Abe shared how his family ended because he put his career before his family. He told Wes he could stay as long as he needed.
The next day Dean visits Wes to apologizes for their fight he talks about his abusive father explaining that this relationship made him believe he would not be a good father to Wes. So he left thinking it would be better to Wes and his mother.
Wes listens and tells Dean that he understands who he is. Abel shows Wes his motorcycle collection and encourages him to continue racing. He is told that he is good at it and that he needs to get on with it. Later Wes goes to apologize to Camila but she is not interested in talking. He told her about his upcoming big race and expressed his desire for her and Leo to go.
However, Camila explained that it was heartbreaking to watch him risk his life in the truck everyday and return to his house. The next day as Wes prepares for a race he notices Dean is there as well when Wes asks why Dean revealed that he will be racing too.
Before the race starts Wes sees Camila in the audience who calls out to him. As the race starts Wes and Dean are leading the race fighting to see who will be in the lead but near the end of the race Dean suddenly dodges the truck and crashes in Wes crossing the finish line as Dean was being taken for medical attention he raised his hand to greet Wes.
Everyone is celebrating Wes win and Camila also comes and kisses him. There is where the movie One Fast Move ends. I hope you like it. Thank you very much.
