James’ father’s land was also close to the place he asked to take it back so Robert gave him a companion to help him regain his land.

The King also lost his life there but the Prince did not keep his promise to his father and continued on his journey.
It turns out that Robert was watching the arrival of the English and hurried back to prepare and plan to set traps for them. They worked together to dig in to build defenses against the English that would weaken their forces. There were also those who came to help then who were surprised to see the King digging together.
Meanwhile, the Prince’s army of about 3,000 arrived and James stopped them on the road to inform them that the King of Scots had sent them to face them tomorrow in battle at a nearby hill called Loud and Hill. There the Prince’s army spent the night with great confidence that they would win the battle with the size of their forces.
Robert’s team was only 500 strong and surely could not fight the English, but with the preparations they made they still hoped to win. Lord Mackinnon came there recognizing that he is now King and he apologized for not giving up on him before however, Robert accepted it and joined their fight.
The next day, Robert’s group is ready to fight for the freedom of their country. The prince’s army has also arrived in the area ready for battle before it even begins Robert encourages his colleagues to fight for honor and for in the country.
After this, The English began to rush in large forces as expected they fell into the trap set by Robert which weakened them so easily that the unhorsed Scouts defeated them. The English tried to avoid passing through the front led by Valence which angered the Prince.
What he did was that Robert actually made a hole there because around it there was deep mud that they certainly couldn’t pass through. There was a fierce battle even the Prince rushed forward but his horse also fell due to the loss of the horse of the English and their army was defeated because they were forced to retreat which means that they were defeated by the Scots.
In the end the Scots were very happy that they had won the battle and the Prince was left behind. Robert faced it in a fight while his companions watched them. The Prince lost the fight and screamed for help but he was left there alone.
Despite this, Robert let him live and there everyone celebrated their victory against the English.
