Land of Bad
The movie we will feature today is about challenging terrain of the Philippines, the plot follows a group of soldiers on a high-stakes mission to take a hostage. This movie titled “LAND OF BAD” in an action thriller released in 2024 directed by William Eubank with a duration of 1 hour and 53 minutes starring Liam Hemsworth (Sgt.Kinney), Russel Crowe (Captain. Eddie Grimm “REAPER”) and Luke Hemsworth (Sgt.Abell).
At a military base in Mindanao, The US army Delta force team was sent to Jolo, Sulu to rescue a captured CIA Agent who was gathering information on a Russian weapon dealer. The said team consists of Sergeant Abell, Master Sergeant Sugar and the youngest of the team Sergeant Kinney who is also connected to the drone team as a terminal attack controller.
At the military base aeronautics in Las Vegas one is Captain Eddie Grimm alias REAPER who is a US air force drone pilot who provides air support to the Delta Force. His wife was about to give birth so he warned the other pilots who were busy watching viva max about his wife’s situation that when she calls they have to answer and let him know but Colonel came who didn’t seem to care because he said they needed to relax every once in a while.
Meanwhile, the Delta Force was close to the drop zone and Kinney was warned by his colleagues that he had to keep up with them as well as contact the drone operator to make sure the enemy he was going to hit with the bomb. Then one by one the group started to jump from the helicopter.
Meanwhile, Reaper is also ready for the mission with its partner using their drone to connect with the Delta force up to their eyes in the air. They were a few kilometers away from the target zone from where they dropped so the group started walking through the location until they found a hut.
To ensure the safety of the team using their drone they checked the entire environment for a possible enemy but suddenly the drone had a problem so Reaper was forced to change its base to fix it. However, the team still continued their mission the old fashioned way where they thought an enemy was coming but they were relieved to see that it was just grass rustling.
Continuing their mission, The group reached the location of their target surrounded by armed guards. The group split up to study the environment carefully and they also plan to call for back-up before entering the area.
It was confirmed that their Russian target was there with his family, Later an armed group also came to the area. They suspected that the terrorist group that was Abu Sayyaf was coming where it was confirmed that their commander was also with them. Soon the drone was back in the air and connected again to the location of the Delta force while the team watched in the distance, the attackers suddenly killed the Russian group which surprised them all.
The Commander of Abu Sayyaf also brutally killed the Russian’s wife in front of him. When his daughter next the Delta Force couldn’t stand what was happening so they took action. Kinney requested dropping the bomb on a location close to the enemy to prevent the terrorists from succeeding.
The group was suddenly compromised after Kinney’s position turned out to be one of the tunnels cave where the whole area is located so the enemy saw him in his position but his colleagues saved him but the enemy left a grenade due to the landslide and fell.
The team is worried about Kinney’s safety, the terrorists came because they were fighting with the group and Abell had a strong plan to save Kinney but due to the number of enemies he was hit. The RPG also blew up the two Delta Force that served as their protection so they could not save Abell who was hit again even though Abell was still fighting the terrorists but when Kinney came to try to save him he lost his life.
Kinney informed his colleagues of Abell’s death but left him to call for air support as they were still being bombarded by RPGs. Kinney immediately went to the enemies to get the correct location of the target then bombed the drone operator Reaper but before it hit the enemies rapping hit the location of his colleagues before the bomb hit the terrorist bu an enemy came again and Kinney shot at them with a machine gun so he immediately ran away. Where he was also almost hit by the explosion but he managed to escape down the cliff and went to woods to hide.
After finding a safe place he called Reaper and informed him that all his colleagues in the group were dead. Kinney was advised to go to the evacuation point up to save it but Reaper was surprised that he didn’t move. They suspected that Kinney was scared so Reaper calmed him down and told him that the helicopter was on its way to pick him up because that’s when Kinney walk again while the two drone pilots were watching around him.
After a while they saw enemies coming, Kinney immediately hid on the side of the river so as not to see a car arrive and two Abu sayyaf on horseback with a dog. Kinney was seen by the dog who was about to catch him but the opponent did not see him.
After the terrorists left, Kinney continued walking while Reaper talked to him to make him fell that they were with him on his side. During the night, Kinney reached the evacuation point and contacted the helicopter that would pick him up. Also close to the landing zone soon the helicopter arrived and was about to land but suddenly Kinney was hit by bullet.
It turned out that they were followed by the Abu Sayyaf and Reaper immediately called the pilot to inform them that they were surrounded by enemies. The helicopter marksman kept up but the R PG hit them causing the pilot to decide to leave without Kinney.
Kinney didn’t do anything but fight the terrorists to survive but with so many of them he couldn’t handle it alone so he asked Reaper for help. The enemy was able to blew up the drone but there was still some left that they suspected of using night vision so the enemies can see him.
Reaper couldn’t help him anymore because he ran put of bullets. The stand by jet fighter came to help Kinney when he gave the target location of the enemies. He immediately hid because the jet fighter’s bomb as too destructive. It was there that the jet dropped a bomb on the enemies that made a big explosion but there were still some enemies left.
Kinney ran as he dropped the bomb again on the location where he came from where he successfully killed all the Abu Sayyaf and it survived well because of what happened Kinney had to go to the second landing zone to pick it up but it was a big challenge for him because it’s up a mountain which is definitely not easy. He also had no choice but to go to the landing zone to get home but while walking Kinney fell off the cliff and went straight into the river.
The Drone Pilot also detected an enemy nearby so they informed Kinney but his gun was left above the cliff with the hand gun that was left. Kinney exchanged fire with them but ran out of bullets and ran away until he reached the end of the river which is another waterfall.
Rather than being caught, he was forced to jump and hide under the waterfall but the enemies were still there above. Kinney left to escape but that’s when he was caught by the terrorists because of what happened Reaper called the Colonel to ask for permission to stay in control room until their mission is over.
The Colonel agreed to finish the mission in the meantime Kinney was currently being held captive by the terrorists but Sgt.Sugar came and saved him in the place which surprised him because he clearly saw a rocket hit him. Sugar said that the explosion was close to them but Sgt.Bishop was captured so he planned to go back to save his comrade while they were heading to the enemies fort.
Kinney thought of calling the air force using the radio they got when he contacted Reaper and informed them of the plan to return to the terrorists stronghold but Reaper refused to agree because the agent saw it and was just preparing for the rescue operation. Kinney said they were going back to rescue the colleague before everyone was caught until communication was lost again.
Later, the two Delta Forces reached the location of the terrorists but they did not know where the comrade was there. The two planned to bomb the area in the middle of the air force three time every 15 minutes where the last one was the most powerful explosion.
Kinney immediately called Reaper the plan to carry out three consecutive airstrikes on the stronghold of the terrorists but suddenly the call was cut off but everything was planned so the Colonel let the two Pilots out of the control room because their time was up at work but Reaper didn’t want to leave to finish the mission he started but the Colonel made his partner hot for answering so he was forced to go out.
Meanwhile the Delta Force had only 10 minutes before the airstrike began, they also started to enter the terrorists stronghold to save the colleague the two entered the area slowly. In order not to draw attention when seeing that the enemies were busy, they took the opportunity but it was not easy for the two to knock down the enemies but someone came and rained bullet on them but the gun had a problem so the two had a chance to be knocked down the enemy.
Continuing outside, enemies came again and Sugar was hit but Kinney helped him to escape but he faced a terrorist and almost killed him if Sugar didn’t save him. The enemies blew them up because they were captured and taken to cave for confinement where they also saw Bishop there.
Meanwhile the airstrike was about to start and now the two were in trouble because they were sure to be affected by explosion. Suddenly the terrorists took Sugar and brought him to their leader where he also killed him. Soon after the first airstrike hit, Kinney was taken out of the jail and tortured while at that time Reaper went to grocery store before going home to buy a welcome gift for his wife. While in the cave after torturing Kinney with Abu Sayyaf the leader talked to him then he told that an airstrike was coming to their location but he was not interested in what he was saying and tortured him even more.
The terrorists dunked him in water to tell him the location of his other colleagues but no matter what he said they were the only ones there. The leader did not believe him and intended to drown. When the second bomb was dropped which hit the cave causing all the enemies to be exhausted because of the Kinney survived and immediately searched for his colleague in the huge cave.
He also found the CIA agent so he took him with him on the way out. They passed the still alive leader with a radio. The two faced each other to end everything. It turned out that Bishop was also there who was imprisoned nearby. When the leader was about to pull out his gun Kinney got ahead of him and then avenged the killing of the gang and immediately took Bishop out surprising what he did.
Then they looked for a way out but the cave was too wide and time was running out before the last airstrike. One bomber is heading to their location with a powerful bomb that will surely destroy the whole place. Kinney uses the recovered radio to call the military base operating the drone to stop the airstrike but everyone is busy to watching viva max with the Colonel.
A soldier answered him but when he found out that Reaper was what he was looking for he just gave Reaper’s number. When Kinney called Reaper he was talking to his wife and the bomber was also coming to their location.
Reaper waited to pay bills he also saw that someone had voice mailed him and he listened to it. He was very surprised that it was Kinney who called to stop the airstrike. Reaper hurriedly left to return to the base while trying to call the base’s phone but no one answered because everyone was busy watching.
He just drove the car fast to get there as soon as he continued to look for a way out for Kinney. The one bomber was also ready to drop the bomb and finally they saw Kinney the way out before the bomber was able to drop the bomb Reaper came and stopped the bomber pilot from bombing.
He successfully managed to surprise the drone pilot with what he did so Reaper zoomed in on the location and they saw that their soldier was there. Kinney was very thankful that he saved them by waving at the camera that the Agent was wondering what he was doing. When Reaper heard the noise outside he went to them who had just finished watching television with the Colonel.
He said that he called several times on the phone but no one answered not about his wife but between the safety of their colleagues who serve the town but they just ignored him. So he gets angry and smashes the television to make them do the cursed duty.
In the end the two Delta Forces that survived and succeeded in the mission to save the CIA agent returned home and this is where the movie end. I hope you like it. Thank you very much.
