The movie we will feature today is about a rich daughter who after being orphaned by his real parents, someone wants to kidnap her they don’t know that she has a body guard who is ready to kill to save her. This movie is the British action thriller movie released in 2019 titled CLOSE directed by Vicky Jewson with a duration of 1 hour and 34 minutes starring Noomi Rapace (Sam Carlson), Sophie Nelisse (Zoe Tanner), and Indira Varma (Rima Hassine).
The story begins in South Sudan where Sam Carlson is on his regular mission as the protection of journalists in a high-risk area while on the flight she receives a radio report that the village near their passage is currently under attack by rebels.
However, they continued with the mission but they were ambushed by the rebels that they were trying to avoid but the driver of her car was killed. Sam moved to the back of the car as the rebel approached them and pretended to be dead. When he approached there she killed the enemy and immediately took the weapon.
Another man came out but Sam hid under the car and immediately killed him. She also lowered the driver of the car so that they could use it to escape but he tried to fight. So Sam killed him and immediately ran away. Meanwhile Zoe Tanner is the only child and heir of the recently deceased business tycoon Eric. Her mother also died when she was only one year old so she is now with her step mother Rima Hassine but not they get along very well.
On the day of the reading of the will and testament, Eric bequeathed all the father’s property to Zoe which Rima did not like because Hassine’s mining mine was being developed by her parents. Zoe thought she would be able to get rid of her stepmother but she would take her back to their safe house in Morocco which the girl didn’t want. Zoe’s body guard was also fired because something happened to the two of them and find a new girl body guard is still looking for her.
That night Sam receives a message of another job for a VIP client to escort from London to Morocco. She immediately took off and during the flight she found out all about Zoe’s background which she found out was addictive to vice. Despite Sam’s strength and courage she has something to hide where she has a child she left when she was still a child and now he is being contacted but she does not answer.
When he landed in London, Conall picked up his superior and friend who would take her to the client’s home. Sam met Alik there, the head security of Hassine Mining who informed that they should no longer work with their company but his boss needed a female guard. After leaving mansion Sam met Zoe but she didn’t like her behavior and the dog even took care of her.
In the evening Sam accompanied Zoe to a club, She noticed that the man she was dancing with was too clingy so she approached and gave the man a lesson. Zoe was angry because of her guard’s interference. She threatened that she could get rid of it but her curse on Sam didn’t work.
Later they flew to Morocco in a helicopter, Soon they arrived at the family’s safe house that Zoe considered her prison. It is a place protected by a modern system and many guards are on guard. There is also a car waiting for Sam because her mission is over but Zoe doesn’t agree to let her go because her paid work time isn’t over. Sam can’t do anything but stay there all night while her mother did not follow immediately who stayed at the company’s office.
That night after Sams saw that someone was watching her from the CCTV and Zoe also saw that it was open nearby so she turned it off as she could control the system from her tablet. Sam went to the control room to see who was watching him but Alik explained that it was part of their protection.
When Sam returned she covered all the CCTV in her room while listening to the voice message from her child who she ignored again. As night fell someone hacked into the entire safe house’s system and closed the house’s seals to lock them all inside.
Sam was quickly awakened by the shutters closing so she immediately created a barrier while Zoe also woke up but she was unable to connect to the system from the tablet as it was completely trapped inside. Sam took action to find the perpetrators when suddenly something exploded from the wall killing the guards.
He sends Alik to a surviving security guard to regain control of the system as the mercenaries break in while Alik hides near the door waiting for an opportunity, At the window Sam went through the barrier she had left and jumped down to Zoe’s connected room while trying to radio Alik.
When she came out of the room she told Zoe that if she was let in all the doors would be opened, She had to get out first to escape. Alik would have received Sam’s broadcast but he turned it off so as not to hear the noise and was able to kill the mercenaries at Zoe’s door but it was also killed by the opponents who arrived.
Zoe was terrified of the gunshots heard outside so Sam calmed her down when the mercenary opened the door and at the same time the back, So Sam immediately took her out and ran away. They asked help from the police officers. They were brought of the police is Casablanca the largest city in Morocco to take them to the station but Zoe heard them talking in Arabic that they would not be taken to the police station and talked about money,
They suspect that they are complicit with the armed group that attacked the safe house when they get stuck in traffic there Sam takes the opportunity to fight back using her fighting skills she almost gets killed but Zoe saves her but she kills a policeman that will be their problem.
The two immediately ran away to get away from the area. Sam already had money hidden and they used it to have a temporary place to hide but the hotel they got was not good so Zoe didn’t want to stay there Sam explained that because she had killed policeman she was definitely wanted they are now of all authority.
Zoe started crying because she was so scared but Sam calmed her down and called her stepmother to ask for help but because of what happened the police were looking for her. The stock market of Hassine Mining fell which made Rima angry, She received a call from Zoe to ask for help but she was thinking of nothing but their company.
Zoe gets angry because she always doesn’t care about her. Sam plans to go out to find supplies. Zoe thinks she will never come back but Sam says she will get her out of the country but Sam receives a message from Conall that she is the one who can help her get out.
Meanwhile, Hassine is currently bidding on the land of Zambia for phosphate mining against Sikong Industry from China, bur due to the fall of stock connected to Zoe’s case, they are unable to get the contract. Rima insists that it has nothing to do with company but everyone knows Zoe is the heir.
Sam found a solution so they could get out of the country, someone would come to pick them up and pretend they were a family going to Spain. When Zoe asked Sam if she had a child she immediately refused because she was forgetting the past. Zoe’s face for killing a policeman was also scattered in the newspapers so it made them even more difficult.
The next day, Rima visited the safe house and saw the traces that had been left behind. Someone was waiting for her there a detective she hired to search for Zoe. Later Sam’s guard arrived she was surprised that Conall himself came which she was worried about because Conall is not good in the field.
The two talk outside where it turns out they are in a relationship so Sam is relieved but Conall wonders why she stayed there even though her mission is over. Sam says Zoe has nowhere else to run but Conall disagrees and thinks she did it to forget her child. Sam was angry because she didn’t want to talk about her child.
Later they got ready to leave and Conall came back to pick them up but suddenly someone shot him which killed him instantly. Two of the armed men who arrived also captured Zoe with them while Sam was left as a captive of the remaining man. When he intended to kill her, she fought back with her hidden knife but it didn’t work because her hands were tied.
It was very difficult for Sam to move to fight but because of her skills she was able to kill the man. Currently Zoe is being taken in the van trying to fight back the man tried to exploit her but Sam came and they helped her to kill him which they did successfully.
Then they got a bag containing a gun and money and immediately the two fled and found a taxi at the exit. They bought the taxi for a large amount so the owner agreed and it was used to escape. Sam went to the beach to vent his anger at the death of her boyfriend.
When the car return they could no longer continue their plan to leave the country because they did not have a passport. So they went to the Hassine Mining office because Zoe’s mother was the only one they hoped would help but when they got there. They saw Rima with the person who attacked them at the hotel because of this they suspect the stepmother is the mastermind behind all the attempts on Zoe’s life. To find out the truth they follow the man who went to the port with a profit.
it turned out that this was the one who hired the mercenaries who attacked the safe house outside. Sam told Zoe that if she didn’t return within 20 minutes she would run away. Sam enters the place where the man went to take a picture but she is heard and caught and thrown into the water but Sam takes it with her.
Zoe was kicked out of her parking lot while Sam continued to fight underneath. When she successfully killed the man she took his wallet and immediately returned to the car. There they found out that it was a police officer while Zoe also found Rima’s password to the safe house in his wallet because of this she increasingly believed that Rima was behind everything.
Zoe needs to get into the stepmother’s phone which is connected to the safe house system to find out the truth so the two go back to the abandoned safe house to try to break into the security while Rima is one her way to the bid she finds out they will win if it will give a bigger amount but in the elevator the representative of the Sikong Industry suddenly entered and tried to stop her but she did not budge but the competitor threatened her that something bad would happen to the child in the safe house.
Zoe finds out that Sam has a child which means she lied to her that she doesn’t care about what is happening to them now but Zoe points out that friends should not hide anything but Sam says that they are not friends. Zoe accepted this and started the safe house system but Sam came over to ease her heart.
In the continuous testing, Zoe also entered the system. Currently Rima is also talking to the company for their deal but she received a notification that someone had entered her phone suspecting that it was Zoe because she did not proceed with the deal and hurried to leave. They found Zoe coming from the CCTV footage she closed the safety barrier in the rooms to prevent them from entering. The corrupt coops arrive there with the mercenary to abduct Zoe but they see them on the CCTV’s surrounding the entire safe house.
Roma also arrived there in a helicopter and was looking for Zoe in the control room but she did not open it because she suspected that she was the mastermind behind everything. Rima explained that someone was going to block mail her but they didn’t believe it. When the mercenary arrived it turned out that Rima wasn’t the one with the plan because the truth is that the Sikong industry sent then and it made an attempt on her life so Zoe came out to help the castrated after learning that it had nothing to do with criminals.
Sam was trapped inside the control room because she didn’t know the password to the door, the policeman who was with the criminal also went up and took Zoe so Sam thought carefully about Zoe’s record until she was able to open the door as well.
Rima tried to help Zoe to escape but it didn’t do anything and tried to kill Zoe luckily Sam came and saved her but she got a hit in the hand after what happened they went out immediately. A detective working with Rima there to help them before Sam leaves Zoe thanks her for saving her life and promises to call her child. Sam also left now ready to face what she left in the past.
