Armor
The movie we are going to feature today is about an armor truck that is ambushed by armed robbers to get the money, This movie is the American action thriller film movie released in 2024 titled “ARMOR” directed by Justin Routt with a duration of 1 hour and 29 minutes starring Slyvester Stallone (Rook). Josh Wiggins (Casey Broody) and Jason Patric (James Broody).
The story began where James Broody became a habit of drinking after his wife died in an accident. He often wen to counselling sessions to relieve the pain in the past that he still hasn’t forgotten. James also works as an armored truck security with his son Casey Broody who is his partner who transport between banks.
Casey’s wife is currently pregnant and she is still thinking about the name of the future child. The father and son went to get money they were always late before, so the bank manager was always angry with them but at that time the two are surprised that they were carrying to much money knowing that it only contained money because here Casey let go the box and his wife gift’s fell which he was worried might make her angry.
They din not know the contents of the boxes why they were heavy so James told the son that if they destroy it they will pay for it. When they were leaving James saw a suspicious van in the area but he ignored it and left immediately and the father and son who successfully delivered the load.
While they were changing before going home, Casey reminded the father that he had a family because he was often alone. he invited the father to visit whenever he wanted so that they could have time together from time to time. Meanwhile the armed group led by Rook is preparing for their robbery.
It received a call for the group’s next target, That same night James visited his son’s house to bond with Casey’s pregnant wife while they hid what happened earlier so she wouldn’t worry. The next day James went through counselling again before going to work which he often does.
His son picked him up there and went straight to work when they arrived at the bank the manager was angry with them again often being late for money. They ignored it but James complained because there were four boxes there while only three were listed. The manager threatened to report him for always being late to work and made James look like he was fired from being a police officer for frequent drunkenness. James said nothing and just signed the document.
When they left, James was little upset about what happened but he didn’t let it be known he was worried about the contents of the boxes that might contain something illegal that he would be responsible for and regretted why he agreed, they just hope that the flight will go well today but James suddenly noticed someone following their van who wanted to overtake. After a while the rear of their car was bumped that they were really the target. Casey called for help but no one answered the radio.
The van kept hitting them so James tried to run away but they caught up, He was the one who called but they really couldn’t contact him and he realized that someone was blocking their communication so that they couldn’t ask for help from the outside. James continued to drive until he reached a bridge where he thought they could escape.
It turned out that there was another van waiting fro them there causing it to be stopped where the armed groups that scared them. James immediately backed out of the car to go back to the road but the van that was chasing them earlier also blocked them so it also stopped.
That is when Rook’s group came out and hit their car with bullets but because it was an armored truck, they were not able to penetrate inside but the militants used a grenade launcher causing the car to tip over. They still survived inside and got out bu going upstairs as the group slowly rushed them.
When they were fired upon again, they immediately went down to hide then planned what to do waited for the cutting to stop which they successfully but Casey was hit from behind. James immediately retaliated by hitting two thieves but they continued to fire so he took his son inside the truck to hide.
Rook didn’t shot them because their plan didn’t include killing. When they got inside James calmed down his son who was afraid of dying from his hit and looked for first aid for the wound but their first aid kit box was empty so he just bandaged the wound to stop the bleeding.
Outside the thief was disappointed that they didn’t get the target easily. They plan to blow up the car door to open it but Rook doesn’t agree because the old bridge they are standing on might give way. After James bandaged his son’s wound he tried to make a phone call but there was no signal which is believed to be the work of the thieves.
They just heard someone talking outside where Rook tried to negotiate with them to come out and not hurt them. What surprised them was they knew the, which means that they had been monitored for a long time. However, James did not agree to surrender himself because he suspected that the thieves would surely kill them because Rook’s group had already left before they could come to an agreement.
James wondered why the thieves were to professional just for the money they were carrying. He suspected that they were not random so he checked the boxes one by one and found that they contained gold worth millions. Later the thieves turned the truck with teargas to suffocated them inside to force them to come out.
They immediately made a way to prevent the smoke from entering the inside of the truck while Rook’s group waited too impatiently. When James successfully blocked the smoke, Rook’s colleagues were furious that their plan didn’t work. The group released their last ace that can destroy the door of the truck.
One of Rook’s comrades is running out of patience and starts blaming the comrades before they even get the gold. Inside Casey worried even more about his wife when she saw that he was shoot. James thought about using it to clean his wound and remembered his tumbler of vodka.
Casey surprised that the father is probably drinking again which he knew had stopped a long time ago but James admitted that he didn’t really stop but he tried but he couldn’t handle it after his wife died. Casey remember the past while the father was driving when a car was speeding overtook them that James worried it could cause an accident.
He intended to chase him but his wife stopped him because he was already off duty at work but James was insistent because he was just going to talk to him so he followed the car when he caught up with the driver for speeding to warn that he would be caught if he repeated yet. The man talked to him well to arrange the operation next time.
When James returned the car, the family argued with him about what he did because they were with them but suddenly someone hit their car in the back causing the death of his wife. While only he and his son survived but were in serious condition until Casey’s old age still hiding this anger from the father.
He blames him for what happened and why the mother died and wishes that the father had been killed that day but they stopped when they heard another noise outside. It turned out that the thieves were starting to make holes in the truck. So James looked for a way to get the tumbler using the pipe and hook he found.
This is what he used to get the bottle it wasn’t easy after he got it he made Casey drink it and washed his wound so it wouldn’t get infected. While the thieves were still breaking the door but they had to stop it because the door was finally damaged they lives ended but they ran out of bullets after Casey left the gun outside and only the teaser was left.
James came up with an idea to use alcohol to stop the engine from drilling they opened the roof hatch while Casey pretended to give up. The group stopped drilling when they heard this but Rook’s colleague didn’t believe what he was saying but it wasn’t the next thing to do because Rook was leading the group while they were unaware that James was behind them and using improvised explosives he will throw it.
Rook started counting Casey for opening the door, there James also made the plan where he successfully set fire to the machine the enemy was knocked down with the teaser when he saw it he was shot there fortunately James quickly dodged and he was immediately the enemy went back inside after catching up.
The thief was very angry when he escaped and agreed again that they would be released when he got out but Casey did not believe him. James also hit the teaser very angrily and was shooting at the car his colleague stopped it because the bridge could be damaged bit ended up in an argument again.
Rook stopped his colleagues but he was also threatened Rook tried to negotiate with them again who surrendered saying that they would just take the target gold and release them but they really didn’t want to believe it. Soon the the sun rising, a few more hours will pass and they will surely die from the extreme heat.
They still had some water left but it was going down as time went on James gave it to his son and thanked him for understanding him. Outside no policeman has yet paid attention to the current theft. Rook’s colleague suggested that the truck be dropped into the river to open the door but he did not agree because he hoped that they would also come out when they ran out of air but it ended up in an argument again because his colleagues are too hot-headed.
Meanwhile inside, James apologized to his son for what happened before and announced that he was a useless father. Casey denied it and forgave him for what happened before. Rook colleagues were really bored waiting and they argued but it was revealed that they did not plan to kill but the colleague wanted to get the gold no matter what.
When the police found out, He killed his colleague even Rook he also shot him the using the van the man rammed the armor truck towards the side of the bridge which surprised them after he pushed there was a gas leak in the truck using the grenade launcher he blew it up causing the car to fall into the river.
James immediately opened the hatch to get out but Casey’s foot got stuck in the steel so he couldn’t leave his place as the truck began to sink. James tried to iron but couldn’t really move. Casey talked to his father about leaving him there so they wouldn’t both die but James didn’t give up and still tried to lift the iron. He didn’t stop until Casey finally got rid of his grip.
They immediately got out and slowly swam to the shore when they were safe the traitorous thief came James fought him in a bloody battle but Rook saved him from above. They walked towards the road while Rook met them.
James thought that he was going to them but Rook said that he is not a murderer and that he is done with the robbery, It was agreed that when the police came they would pretend they were not with him. James asked the son if he agreed to which Casey agreed. Rook continued to where his pick-up arrived while the police were also coming to the area.
