Redemption is about a man who after a traumatic duty in Afghanistan returns to London to find another kind of war. Life on the streets as a damaged, homeless person. It is also called Humming bird, the movie has a length of 1 hour and 40 minutes directed by Steven knight whose genre is Action, Crime and Drama.

The movie begins where (2) gangsters beat up (2 ) two beggars on the street. Inside the trash can Isabel tells to Joseph not to fight them. It is revealed that Joseph is a former soldier who went AWOL from unit in Afganistan and now is living in London as a drunken beggar.

Isabel put the drug in her mount to hide it but the gangster also saw it and took it from her. They attacked Isabel so Josepj punch them and Isabel immediately ran away. The gangsters wprked together to beat Joseph so that he was badly hurt.Joseph was able to escape when he entered an apartment and found out that the owner of the house was not there so spent a night there.

The next morning, a gangster saw Isabel and pointed a knife at her. In the apertment Joseph took a shower, cut his hair and dressed in the clothes he found in the cabinet. He found out from the voicemail that the owner of the apartment named Damon is in Newyork and will stay there until October 1.

Joseph decided to stay there and then he looked for money and when he saw in the mailbox a debit card with a pin on it. He immidiately went to ATM machine to withdraw money. He got drunk and called himself “JOEY JONES”. He remembered what hapened in the past when he was still a soldier.

He passes by a homeless shelter and he asks the Nun Cristina if she has seen her friend Isabel but she asks him where he got the beautiful clothes he is wearing. He didn’t answer the nun and just gave her a lot of money so she could buy what she want.

So one night Cristina went to a theater to buy a ticket for the ballet concert on October 1. Meanwile Joseph woke up from a bad dream and realized that he was just hallucinating when the flying humming bird in the apartment. He went to Nun Cristina to ask for medicine but she told him to go to the hospital.

Joseph admitted that he could not go to the hospital because he was hiding from the court martial since he went AWOL in the special forces and he alaso said that two ribs were broken because he was beaten the other night and he my have died because of the infection. The Nun immediately gave her medicine and said that no one has seen Isabel since the two of them got into trouble the other night. Since then he has not returned to her get food.

When Josepeh returned to the apartment he found Damon’s car key. He rode it to put up a poster so he could see Isabel. Meanwhile we will see a man with a scar on his upper eyebrow who met a gangster who pointed a knife at Isabel. They entered a parcel store and the man looked at (3) three women and one of then was Isabel. It turns out that Isabel was forced and turned into a prostitute by a gangster.

At the apartment, someone knocked while Joseph was cooking and when he didn’t want to open the door the woman said she knew someone was inside and if he didn’t open the door she would call the police. So Joseph opened the door and let out that he was Damon’s friend. Thank you because he believe them.

Joseph has resumed his old job as a waiter in a Chinese restaurant and is also bouncer there. One night when there rowdy men in the restaurant. Joseph let them out but they attacked him because he was a former soldier so Joseph immediately knocked them all down.

The owner saw him so he introduced him to Mr.Choy who was doing illegal activities. Mr.Choy hires him as a driver, goons, collect fees and deliver drugs because of this Joseph started to earn a lot of money and he also helped Mr.Choy to establish a good business in the area. He also helped with the charities and the feedings of Nun Cristina to the beggars.

After a few months, Joseph saw his Ex Dawn. She was angry with him because he looked rich while she and her daughter had nothing to eat. Dawn only stopped being angry when Joseph gave her a lot of money.

In the evening Nun Cristina saw boxes of clothes outside and an invitation asking her to go out. She went to the place indicated on the invitation where Joseph was and they enjoyed their barbecue. Nun Cristina showed a picture from police where Isabel was found dead in a river. Joseph burned the picture out of anger, Nun Cristina said that police think that Isabel was killed by one of Joseph’s clients.

The police also found some drugs in ISabel’s body, So Joseph got angry and overturned the table. The Nun said to him that he was impostor because she was the one who gave Isabel drugs. Nun Cristina advised him to change his life. After a while Joseph went to the gangster who beat him before and he asked them and said do yo still remember me. One of them took out a kife and Joseph immediately beat them and asked who killed Isabel. One of them said that the one who killed Isabel was the man with the scar above his eyebrow.

The next day, He meets Nun Cristina in an art gallery where he sees her wearing the red dress he gave her. Joseph is impressed but the Nun says that why she is there because she want to et information on Isabel’s killer. When an old man asked them. They immediately went out so that they wouldn’t be recognized immediately and while they were outside. Nun Cristina suddenly felt dizzy because she had been drinking a lot of wine earlier.

Nun found out from Joseph that the owner of the apartment will return on October 1 at the same time as the schedule of ballet concert. The two of them kiss before parting ways. Soon after the police find out about all Joseph’s activities. So they started asking questions to Nun Cristina. They were looking Joseph when they found out that he was the one doing the illegal work for Mr,Choy.

When she met Nun Cristina. She told him that the police were looking for him. He goes with Nun Cristina to tne convent and she asks him what happened when she got drunk the other night. Jospeh said that the two of them kissed so the NUn was ashamed of him. They talked about their lives.

The Nun admitted that their gymnastic instructor had harassed her in the past so she took her life because of what happened. She was sent to a convent instead of being imprisoned because she was still young at that time. At the convent Nun Cristina told Mother Superior that she wanted to move to Africa and that she was ready to leave after October 1.

Meanwhile, Joseph enlists the help of Mr.Choy’s boss to find Isabel’s killer. His boss Jenny says that she knows the killer’s identity and will tell it on the one condition that Koseph takes a truck full of refugees to sell them and turn them into slaves.

We will see that the man who killed Isabel hurts a prostitute. When the woman’s companion went. She found out a letter of invitation on the coat of the man who hurt earlier. Meanwhile, Joseph has delivered the truck with refugees so he paid him and he also got the invitation card that the woman got from the coat of the man who killed Isabel. It turns out that the prostitue works for Boss Jenny so she took the invitation to give to Joseph.

By October 1 he met Nun Cristina and he took a picture here for his daughter because he wanted his daugther to see her as a good person. He also said that Damon is coming back to his old life. Nun Cristina also said that she is moving to Africa and she wants to be with Joseph before leaving.

They went to Damon’s apartment and they both shared a bed after finishing. Damon suddenly knocked on the door and they hurriedly fled to the back before parting he told Nun Cristina that he had enough money to change their lives but she stopped her and said that you must first be a good person if you want to do something and she kissed him and said see you at the concert at 7 o’clock in the evening.

At night Joseph went to visit his ex but only his daughter was at home. He gave her the photo he took of the Nun earlier and a bag full of money. Meanwhile, At the venue Nun Cristina was waiting for him but Joseph went to a cocktail party written in the invitation.

He sees the man with the scar above the eyebrow who killed Isabel. Max Forrester and says he wants to talk to him for a moment and suddenly drops him on the rooftop. Then Nun Cristina went out of the concert to look for Joseph and found him and slepping on the road. He told the Nun that he repented of his sins and he admitted to her why he was hiding in the martial ports because he was killing in Afganistan so that he could avenge his killed men because of this he was relieved and the Nun hugged him.

The next day, Nun Crstina left . She received Joseph’s letter. It said that i have paid all my dues to Damon and he has also informed the police about Mr.Choy. In the end while Joseph is walking drunk we can see that the police are chasing him with the help of the drones similar to humming birds.

This is where our movie ends.
